Hermès International specializes in the design, manufacturing, and marketing of luxury products. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- sale in stores under the Hermès name (83.3%): sales of purses, luggage, planners, saddlery items, and small leather goods (51.9% of net sales), fashion, shoes, and accessories (26.8%), silk products (14.4%), jewellery and home decoration products (6.9%);
- sale in specialized stores (11.7%): sale of perfumes (48% of sales), clock and watchmaking articles (38.1%), and table decoration products (13.9%);
- other (4.5%): sale of shoes under the John Lobb name and subcontracted production services (primarily for perfumes and textile printing).
At the end of 2013, the group had a network of 315 points of sale, consisting of subsidiaries (203) and concession stores (112).Net sales break down geographically as follows: France (16.3%), Europe (19.7%), Japan (12.3%), Asia/Pacific (33.2%), Americas (16.7%) and other (1.8%).
